Integration sees CUBE’s global regulatory intelligence embedded into IBM watsonx.governance Regulatory Horizon Scanning
Enabling organisations to stay ahead of regulatory change by continuously monitoring global artificial intelligence (AI) regulations and updates
Helping compliance and risk teams assess AI regulatory change faster and with greater confidence
LONDON, September 16, 2026: CUBE, the AI-native regulatory intelligence company, today announced a collaboration with IBM for a new Regulatory Horizon Scanning capability within IBM watsonx.governance. The integration embeds CUBE’s global regulatory intelligence directly into watsonx.governance, giving enterprises continuous visibility into regulatory developments impacting their AI systems worldwide.
As organisations accelerate their adoption of generative and agentic AI, regulatory expectations are evolving, with new requirements emerging across jurisdictions ranging from the EU’s AI Act to the NIST AI Risk Management Framework. CUBE’s regulatory intelligence will power the new Regulatory Horizon Scanning capability in IBM watsonx.governance and continuously monitor AI-related regulatory developments from authoritative sources worldwide; automatically capturing updates from regulators, legislative bodies, standards organisations and industry associations and making them available directly within watsonx.governance.
The integration centralises relevant intelligence relating to AI from global sources and makes that available within existing AI governance workflows, where governance, risk and compliance teams already work. This enables organisations to map regulatory developments to governance use cases, evaluate the potential impact, and maintain a traceable record of how regulatory changes were assessed and addressed. Underpinning this is CUBE’s global network of regulatory and legal experts together with its proven depth and breadth of regulatory data, giving watsonx.governance customers added confidence in the intelligence supporting their AI governance decisions.
London-headquartered CUBE has been expanding rapidly through strategic acquisitions and product innovation, now serving clients across Europe, the United States, Canada, Asia, and Australia, including many of the world’s largest financial institutions. The collaboration with IBM follows partnerships announced earlier this year with Microsoft and ServiceNow, and represents another significant step in CUBE’s growth trajectory.
Ben Richmond, Founder & CEO of CUBE, commented: "Regulatory intelligence is becoming a foundational layer of how AI itself is governed. By partnering with IBM and embedding CUBE’s intelligence directly into IBM’s watsonx.governance, we’re showing that proactive, automated compliance can scale at the pace of AI adoption.”
Maryam Ashoori, VP of watsonx.governance Product & Engineering, IBM, said: "As organisations scale their adoption of AI, keeping pace with a fast-moving regulatory landscape is essential to governing it responsibly. CUBE brings a depth of regulatory expertise and global reach few providers can match and bringing that intelligence directly into watsonx.governance gives our clients a clearer, more current view of the requirements shaping their AI systems, right within the workflows they already rely on."
