CUBE employee spotlight – Andrej Skripic, Head of Data Operations Services

How long have you been with CUBE?

It will be seven years this December 2023.

What do you like most about the work we do here?

I like that what we do has direct impact on how world leading banks operate and the fact that we are always challenging ourselves to be better as a company.

What do you enjoy most about working at CUBE?

I enjoy working with likeminded people who always look to improve and being part of a company that is shaping the industry.

How has your role evolved over time since you’ve been here?

Having progressed from Team Lead to Manager and now to Head of Data Operations my role is massively different from what it was when I first joined. In the beginning, it was about making sure the day-to-day tasks were actioned and delivered in a timely and efficient manner.

Now this is mostly dealt with by my team leads and I’m focusing more on process optimization and thinking about long-term CUBE and customer needs and how that shapes the Data Ops team.

What is the most interesting project you have worked on during your tenure?

Difficult to pick one as every year we work on a lot of interesting projects. If I really had to pick one it would probably be Citi onboarding (Sep-19 to Jul-20) as part of that project we introduced a lot of new and interesting features like RegBook updates, Data Quality Frameworks, and much more.

What piece of advice would you give to your younger self?

Probably to delegate more and not work so hard 😊.

What’s one thing on your bucket list?

Road trip through USA.

What do you get up to outside of work?

Mostly spending time with my wife and son, going to the gym, or watching a bit of football.
